Welcome to the home page of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. We have spent many months redesigning and reorganizing this site to make it more informative and easier to use. The staff and administration of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs believe that the students of UIC are our customers and deserve to be treated as such. In keeping with this belief, we are always looking for ways to improve our customer service responsiveness, and we hope that this new site brings an added convenience to your experience at UIC and with our office and units.
Our Mission
The Mission of Student Affairs is to provide quality programs, services, and learning opportunities which complement the academic experience and facilitate student development and learning.
Student Affairs supports the Academic Mission of UIC by:
- identifying, recruiting and enrolling a student body which is appropriate to the university’s academic programs and which reflects the diversity of the Chicago Metropolitan area as well as the State of Illinois
- facilitating retention and graduation through specialized programs and services such as financial assistance, orientation, registration, career services, and a variety of related support and auxiliary services
- establishing a positive, diverse learning environment on campus by providing students with opportunities to expand their intellectual, aesthetic, cultural and social lives
