We always encourage residents to apply for housing as soon as they find out that they are admitted to the university. Campus Housing regularly receives many more applications than we have space to accommodate, and many students send in their applications up to a year in advance.

By the end of each May, all spaces in the residence halls are assigned—and we generally have a waiting list of up to 800 students starting with students who applied in early March. However, we have come to expect a number of last minute cancellations as well as a number of students not showing up to move into their assigned rooms; consequently, the waiting list should continue to shrink.

Most applicants are offered space on campus throughout the fall or by the beginning of the Spring semester.
