Dear Employer:

Planning for the 2009-2010 recruiting year is underway and we would like to invite you to come and meet with some of the most dynamic students in the Chicago area.  It is time once again to schedule those recruiting activities that meet your short and long-term employment goals.  New employees bring fresh enthusiasm and ideas, and provide a shot-in-the-arm to the day-to-day operations.  Whether you are trying to fill multiple positions or looking for a few key employees, UIC students are ready to step in and contribute to your success.

What draws employers of all sizes and industries to recruit at UIC year after year?  Imagine a large university where the student body has the diversity required for today’s workplace, where students graduate from rigorous programs in a multitude of disciplines, and where a strong work ethic is part of the students’ makeup.  You can find all of these qualities here on our campus.  According to the ranking of National Universities by U.S. News and World Report, UIC’s 25,000 students represent the most racially and ethnically diverse pool of students in the Midwest.  UIC confers more than 5,000 bachelor, graduate, and professional degrees each year from fifteen academic colleges and professional schools including Business Administration, Engineering, and Liberal Arts and Sciences.  More than 70% of our students gain valuable experience by working during their years at UIC.

UIC sponsors the largest college career fairs in the Chicago area with thousands of students participating.  In addition, our office provides employers with numerous other opportunities to reach our students including sponsored mailings.  In return for a fee, printed information about your company and/or employment opportunities will be included in a mailing that goes out to all undergraduate students and several thousand graduate students.  To facilitate your recruiting activities, we use UICcareers.com to schedule interview dates, to maintain a database of student resumes, and to communicate with students to set up on-campus interviews.  Employers may pre-select all of their candidates for campus interviews, as well as, post job openings at UICcareers.com.

We look forward to working with you during the 2009-2010 academic year. Using the links on the left, you will find information about the services that are available for employers.  We ask that you complete the Information Request Form and submit it at your earliest convenience. Please call (312-996-2300) or email us whenever we can be of assistance.

Sincerely,
