UIC Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs

National Student Employment Week was established to increase public awareness of student employees by recognizing students who work while attending college. This year it will be held during the week of April 12-16, 2010. For the past seventeen years, in conjunction with the National Student Employment Association, UIC has celebrated National Student Employment Week.

During this week, come see us at our booths in the SCE West Concourse to participate in our various contests including a TRIVIA, PENNY and CROSSWORD CONTEST

Essay Contest on "Importance of a Part-Time Job"

UIC students can submit a 500 word essay on the "Importance of a Part-time Job" and how their position has affected them. All entries must include a cover sheet. Deadline for submission: April 1, 2010

$100 Prize

UIC's STUDENT EMPLOYEE ALL STARS
Departments can nominate student employees based on their exceptional work performance. Each year five students are selected. Each winner will receive a $100 prize award. Will you be one of the five this year?

"YOU'RE THE GREATEST STUDENT EMPLOYEE"
Student Employment Supervisors will be submitting sweet sentiments that will be posted in the Chicago Flame during National Student Employment Week. Make sure to check to see if your supervisor submits a message on your behalf.
