Step 1: Take Placement Tests

 

If you need to take placement tests, you must do so at least two weeks prior to your orientation date.

 

Step 2: Schedule Orientation Date

 

Call the Orientation Program at (312) 996-3271 to make your reservation. If one or both of your parents plan on attending the Parent Orientation Program, please make their reservations with our staff at this time.

 

Step 3: Activate NetID and EnterpriseID

 

Your ACCC NetID and Common Password will allow you to access University computers, create a UIC e-mail account, and purchase discounted software. Your EnterpriseID and Enterprise Password will allow you access to course registration and student financial records. Visit http://orientation.accc.uic.edu and follow the instructions. 

 

Step 4: UIC Connect

 

To access UIC Connect, please go to: http://connect.osss.uic.edu/

 

Step 5: Complete e-Chug

 

Prior to attending orientation you will be required to complete the online e-Chug questionnaire.

 

Step 6: Plan to Bring...

 

§         A government-issued photo ID, such as driver’s license or passport 

§         Comfortable walking shoes, shower slippers, and casual clothing for the

      evening and second day of the freshman program.

§         Money for miscellaneous expenses, such as parking or

      university souvenirs

§         Your NetID, EnterpriseID, and password information

§         Bank account information (checking/savings) in order to enroll in

      direct deposit for faster/easier access to your financial aid refund

 

Step 7: Attend Orientation

 

Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. at the appropriate location on the date of your scheduled program. 

 

Step 8: Make Orientation Fee Payment

 

Expect to be charged the orientation fee on your university bill shortly after you reserve a date. If you have scheduled your date and have not yet been charged, please still attend your program.
