Congratulations to all Spring 2008 Emerging Leaders Program Participants!
Emerging Leaders and Campus Programs teamed up to offer students a duel leadership certificate program during the Spring 2008 semester. This partnership led to sessions that focused on an organizational approach to leadership. The sessions were designed to evolve throughout the semester, beginning with the individual, expanding to the group, and ending with a focused look at UIC student organizations.
Students who attend four of the Emerging Leaders Program workshops, and two of the Campus Programs workshops, received certificates from both SLDVS and Campus Programs.
Emerging Leaders is not only a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience of leadership skills, but also provides a verifiable workshop experience to put on your resume.
From the Emerging Leaders Program you will gain the following:
- Practical leadership skills to use in the classroom, your organization, and your community.
- Awareness of and confidence in your leadership abilities.
- Enhanced communication skills.
- Knowledge of campus leadership opportunities.
- Ability to develop into a campus-wide student leader.
- A certificate if four (4) out of five (5) sessions are completed.
