The Office of Student Leadership Development and Volunteer Services believes that every student has the potential to become a leader. The staff sees leadership as a relational and continual process, rather than a given position, which should include a life-long commitment to service and community. To ensure students receive the support needed to gain valuable experiences from this commitment, the office provides the following programs:
Leadership Programs
- Student Affairs Workshop Series
- Student Leadership Conference
- Mentoring Program
- UIC Ambassadors
- Take a Professor to Lunch
- Co-Curricular Transcripts
- The Co-Curricular Transcript is to identify activities not listed on an academic transcript, but still affiliated with the University
- CCT information is stored in a SLDVS-run database. Students fill out the initial CCT form and return it to SLDVS. The information is then entered into the database for easy retrieval and updates.
- To fill out a CCT form, simply Download It Here and return the completed form to SLDVS by June 30, 2008.
Volunteer Services
- G.I.V.E. – Get Involved in Volunteer Experience
- Monthly One Time Events
- Consultation for long-term volunteer opportunities
- Chancellor’s Student Service Awards Ceremony
