The Wellness Center offers a broad range of resources, programs, and activities designed to promote health and facilitate growth in all areas of wellness. Trained wellness peer educators and professional staff lead workshops and confidential consultations on many topics, including safer sex, stress management, and alcohol/drugs.
The Wellness Center also has a multimedia library covering a wide range of topics. Students, faculty, and staff can use the Center and its resources either by appointment or on a walk-in basis. In addition, the Center's Web site, has extensive information, useful links, and a helpful Q&A section.
There are a variety of opportunities for the UIC community to participate in the Wellness Center's campus-wide events. These activities include:
- Wellness Tuesdays (every Tuesday during the academic year)
- Lollanobooza: Alcohol Awareness Week (September)
- Wellness Jam (April)
- Great American Smokeout (November)
- De Stress Days (Finals week of Fall and Spring semesters)
- Safer Spring Break (March)
