is a comprehensive and expert abortion practice at the UIC Medical Center that provides care for women who seek elective abortion and women who desire termination due to missed abortion.
Services include:
•Medical abortion to 9 weeks gestation (usually 2 visits, 7 days apart)
•First-trimester surgical abortion up to 13 completed weeks (1 visit)
•Post-abortion contraception, including IUD's.
•All contraceptives, including, but not limited to, IUD, birth control patch,
and oral contraceptives. The Center provides referrals for emergency contraception.
The Center for Reproductive Health accepts most insurance, Public Aid, and self-payment. The Center also accepts CampusCare (student health benefit program) with a referral from the UIC Family Medicine Clinic (contact CampusCare to see if services are covered). Patients should talk to their health insurance plans about eligibility and benefits.
Atmosphere: The Center is integrated into the general Women's Health practice in an attractive setting; patients are not identified as seeking termination of pregnancy. The Center seeks to provide individual care in a supportive and comfortable environment.
