Spring 2005 Schedule

Thursday, 17 February 2005
10-1pm

Wednesday, 9 March 2005
2-5pm

**Classes are Adult CPR only and are not for health care providers.

Please read below for more information and how to sign up. Classes are one-day only (you do not have to attend all 3 classes)
CPR classes are available for UIC Students, Staff, and Faculty only. Due to the large number of individuals wanting CPR, we ask that you attend the class you sign up for or cancel 48 hours in advance. If neither is done then you will not be allowed to sign up for a Wellness Center CPR class for 1 year.

Who are the CPR classes for?
CPR classes are for UIC students, faculty, and staff. UIC students receive first priority for all classes.

How much do the CPR classes cost? UIC Wellness Center offers FREE Adult CPR classes to the UIC community.

How do I sign up for a CPR class at the Wellness Center? UIC students, faculty, and staff can call the Wellness Center at 413.2120 to sign up for a class. Please have the following information available when you call: class date, your name, your UIC email address, phone number, if you are currently certified in adult CPR (if so, through which organization), and if you are a student/employee.

When are the classes offered? The Adult CPR classes are offered once per month.

What do the classes entail? Classes entail watching a video and practicing the skills on manikins. Each participant will have to successfully complete a skill and written exam to receive a completion card in Adult CPR.

What if I am unable to attend one of the scheduled classes or I need a different certification for my major/profession? If you need a different CPR class or you are unable to attend the classes we have available, you can contact any of the following for information on CPR classes in the Chicagoland area:

American Heart Association: 312/346.4675
